SED INTERNATIONAL STUDENT TRAINING PROGRAM
Spray Engineering Devices Limited is an innovation driven company, focusing on energy efficient systems for sugar and allied industries. SED strongly believes in the power of 'innovation' to bring about 'change'. As part of its objectives of fostering technical excellence and working for the progress of society on a global scale, SED offers opportunities to international students to learn share and promote co-operation between SED and industries/academia from their respective countries.

OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM

  • To give practical exposure to international students on various aspects of business operations and management, as per their training program requirements.
  • To promote international understanding and friendship between host countries and India by providing opportunity to the students to stay and experience the cultural diversity in India.
  • To foster close collaboration between SED and industries from host country of the students by identification of technological and business opportunities.
  • To promote possible commercialization of innovative technologies from academia of host country of the international students.
  • To promote business opportunities between host country and SED, either in terms of export of SED products, processes or innovative technologies or in terms of products/processes etc. from host country which can be useful to SED.


MODALITIES

  • Write to 'Incharge, International Trainings, SED’ at ipr@sedl.in submitting brief proposal about training (Period, duration, objectives, letter from sponsoring institute).
  • Proposal will be vetted and acceptance/rejection will be duly communicated.
  • In case accepted, candidate will be informed about the detailed break-up of the training program, expectations of the company.
  • All programs are self-financing - international students must arrange for their passage and stay at their own expense.
  • A written report must be submitted to the company at the end of the training program.


PROGRAMMES HELD

An international student training program in collaboration with ISEG Nantes, France was conducted by SED, India, from 25th May 2009 to 24th July 2009. Mr. Philippe Henrard, a management student in ‘Programme SUP2’ of ISEG Nantes, France, underwent management training at SED’s Mohali office in India with practical exposure to business operations in a company.

In Mr. Philippe Henrard’s words:
“Since the beginning of this management training, I’ve always felt comfortable in the company with employees and managers. I was surprised the first time by the size of Spray Engineering Devices in Mohali’s office and I didn’t expected such a welcoming. I think that people tried their best to make me fit into the company as fast as possible. It will remain as a very good professional and personal experience for me”.
