16th June 2010, HO, Mohali: FIRST AID Workshop was organized at SED, to spread the basic principles, such as knowing to use an adhesive bandage or applying direct pressure on a bleed, are often acquired passively through life experiences. Dr. Vandana from Indus Hospital, Mohali (a specialized trainer to facilitate first aid practical training).

15th May 2010, HO, Mohali: Second Online Quiz Competition. This kind of activity provides fun, promotes knowledge and at the same time, increases information, evokes emotions, discover & communicate with each others. Mr. Amit Mahajan (Engineer-I.T.) stood first in this competition.

24th May 2010, Mohali: SED Organized Second Children Summer Camp from 24 – 28 May 2010 in its office premises. The camp was very aptly named as ‘The SED's Jr Summer Stripe / 2010’. During this camp various activities were held like Poster Making, Creative Writing, Fun filled Games, Quiz Competition, Dance Competition, Movies Show, Tattoo Making, Story Telling, and Grooming Tips. The big moment snatchers in this camp were the highly enlightening visits to AIR studio at Chandigarh and the Verka Milk Plant at Mohali were not only entertaining but also highly informative foe the young SEDLites.

17th April 2010, HO, Mohali: Conducted first time online Quiz Competition. This kind of activity provides fun, promotes knowledge and at the same time, increases information, evokes emotions, discover & communicate with each others. Mr. Arun Sharma (Engineer-Design) stood first in this competition.

21st March 2010, Solan, HP: Jaypee University of Information Technology, one of the best Institutes in India, organized Le Fiestus, the annual techno-cultural fest of the university from 21st to 23rd March, 2010 in which students from various universities and colleges were invited. SED sponsored various events of the fest. There were carried out more than 100 events under various categories of Literary, Cultural and Technical activities. Besides this there were performances by Mohit Chauhan, Bandish Band, Groove Adda Band, DJ Nasha, DJ Puru etc. on the three nights.

8th March 2010, HO, Mohali: SED celebrated International Women’s Day in its Head Office at Mohali with a lot of enjoyment. SED female staff and the spouses of the male staffers were all invited. The highlights of this wonderful day were ‘A Healthy Life Style’ lesson for women by qualified doctors from Ivy Hospital, Mohali; Fun Games; Tattoo & Mehandi Artist etc.

18th February 2010, HO, Mohali: The ‘Art of Living’ is an insightful knowledge that improves relationship, attitude and outlook. This technique develops the ability to keep smiling and stay centred through the GOOD and the BAD times of life. A one hour awareness workshop on ‘Art of Living’ was held at Head Office, Mohali. There were around thirty participants who got useful tips to increase energy, focus & clarity of mind.

22nd January 2010, HO, Mohali: On the road to financial security & success, either someone can be Lucky or Planned. A workshop on Financial Budgeting & Planning was held in Mohali office in association with Master Marts which is one of the leading financial services company in India. The participants came up with a number of queries related to investments, financial plans and adequate financial protection for their dependents etc. which were addressed by financial consultants.

20th January 2010, HO, Mohali: An in-house workshop on “How to Debut as a Manager?” was conducted in collaboration with ICFAI. There were around 31 participants and the workshop had proven to be an effective platform for professionals at all the levels. This was facilitated by Mr. Ram Mohan Kota, Training Head, ICFAI, Hyderabad.

13th January 2010, HO, Mohali: For people of North India especially Punjab, the festival of Lohri holds a great significance. Lohri, a bonfire festival, is symbolic of ripening of the crops and of copious harvest. Sweets, sugarcane and rice are thrown in the bonfires, around which friends and relatives gather together. SEDlites celebrated the Lohri festival in the office premises with a great enthusiasm. Employees were greeted and Lohri sweets were distributed amongst them.

2nd January 2010, HO, Mohali & 4th January 2010, Production Unit, Baddi: Keeping in mind the accomplishment and happiness we got in organizing an in-house summer camp in last year amongst kids, the children of SEDlites aged 3-10 years were invited to be a part of this winter festive time at Mohali Office and Baddi Units. A magic show and lots of fun filled activities were carried out to entertain the Jr. SEDlites.
